This policy covers Works Like This Pipeline, the private in-house software that produces and publishes the Works Like This YouTube channel, and the website at workslikethisshow.com. Both are operated by L&M Group Limited.
The pipeline has one user: the person who owns the Works Like This channel. It is not offered to anyone else, and it never accesses a Google Account other than the one that owns the channel.
With the account holder's explicit consent, given through Google's standard OAuth consent screen, the pipeline accesses the following from the Works Like This Google Account and no other:
We do not access personally identifying information about viewers. YouTube provides channel analytics only in aggregate, and we do not attempt to identify individual viewers from it.
Upload access is used to publish episodes to the channel. Analytics data is used to review how episodes perform, so future episodes can be made better: which topics hold attention, which thumbnails and titles are clicked, and which formats retain viewers.
We do not use Google user data for advertising, for training machine learning models, or for any purpose other than operating this channel.
Analytics data is stored in a local database on a single computer operated by L&M Group Limited in the United Kingdom. The OAuth token that authorises access is held in the macOS Keychain on that machine and is never written to the project files, to version control, or to cloud storage.
Analytics records are retained for as long as the channel operates, because their value is the long-run comparison between episodes. They are deleted on request, and on closure of the channel.
We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise share Google user data with any third party. It is not transferred to advertisers, data brokers, analytics vendors or AI providers. It stays on the machine described above.
We would disclose data only where required to do so by law.
Works Like This Pipeline uses YouTube API Services. By authorising it, you are also subject to the Google Privacy Policy, which describes how Google handles your data, and to the YouTube Terms of Service.
In addition to asking us to delete stored data, the account holder can revoke Works Like This Pipeline's access to their Google Account at any time, without contacting us, through Google's security settings page:
Revoking access stops all further data collection immediately. To request deletion of data already stored, email us at the address below.
If this policy changes, the revised version is published on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will not be applied retrospectively to data already collected.
